When Should I Book My Newborn Photography Session?
One of the most common questions I get asked is:
"When should I book my newborn photography session?" The simple answer is... while you're still pregnant! I know it can feel strange booking photos before your baby has even arrived, but newborn sessions are best photographed within the first 2 weeks after birth, ideally between 5 and 14 days old.
During this time, babies are usually sleepier, curl up naturally into those gorgeous newborn poses and are often more settled throughout their session.
What If My Baby Arrives Early Or Late?
Don't worry! When you book your newborn session, I reserve space around your due date rather than booking a specific day. Once your little one arrives, we'll organise a session date that works best for you and your family. Babies rarely arrive exactly when expected, so flexibility is all part of the process.
What Happens During An In-Home Newborn Session?
One of the things my families love most is that I come to you. There's no need to pack the nappy bag, rush out the door or worry about being somewhere on time. I bring everything needed for the session and photograph your family in the comfort of your own home. Sessions are relaxed, baby-led and designed to make the experience as easy as possible for new parents.

Why Book During Pregnancy?
Booking ahead means:
• You secure a place in my calendar
• You don't need to think about organising photos while adjusting to life with a newborn
• We can plan your session in advance
• You'll have one less thing to worry about once your baby arrives
It's Never Too Late
If your baby has already arrived, please don't panic.
While newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first two weeks, beautiful images can still be captured with older babies.
I always encourage families to reach out, no matter how old their baby is.
