My family sessions are relaxed and unhurried, allowing space for children to be themselves and for genuine interactions to unfold naturally. There’s no pressure to pose perfectly. I’ll gently guide you while capturing the moments that feel most like you.
Sessions are photographed outdoors in beautiful natural locations across the Macedon Ranges. I’ll help you choose a location that suits your family and the light, creating timeless images that feel natural, emotive and full of connection.

Outdoor family sessions
Family sessions are photographed outdoors in beautiful natural locations across the Macedon Ranges. Being outside allows children to move freely, explore and be themselves, creating relaxed, natural images full of connection and personality.
I’ll guide you into gentle prompts rather than stiff poses, allowing real moments to unfold naturally. Sessions are calm, fun and unhurried, with plenty of space for laughter, cuddles and genuine interaction. The focus is always on your family’s connection and the season of life you’re in right now.
I’ll help you choose the perfect location and timing to ensure soft, flattering light and a setting that feels right for your family.
Styling your session
Styling for family sessions is kept simple, natural and timeless so the focus stays on your connection rather than distractions.
I’m always happy to help guide outfit choices prior to your session, including colour palettes and what photographs best outdoors. You don’t need to match perfectly. Soft neutrals, earthy tones and comfortable clothing photograph beautifully and allow you to move and interact naturally.
If you have a sentimental item or something special you’d like included, you’re more than welcome to bring it along. Otherwise, relax knowing I’ll guide you throughout the session to keep everything feeling easy, natural and effortless.
Planning for your newborn session
Scheduling
Family sessions are photographed outdoors and are best scheduled during golden hour, shortly after sunrise or before sunset, when the light is soft, warm and flattering.
Once your session is booked, I’ll help you choose a location that suits your family and the overall feel you’re after. This might be a favourite local spot or a beautiful outdoor location I recommend.
Sessions are relaxed and unhurried, allowing time for connection, movement and genuine moments without pressure.
Payment
A $150 deposit is required to secure your newborn session. This deposit comes off your chosen digital collection.
Payment for your chosen digital collection is due at the time of your session.
Once you’ve viewed your gallery, you’ll have the option to upgrade your collection if you’d like additional images. Any upgrades are purchased after gallery viewing and before final image delivery.
Flexible payment options are available. We also offer AFTERPAY!

There’s no need to worry about perfect behaviour — I’ll gently guide you throughout the session while focusing on natural connection, laughter and real moments.
Preparing for your newborn session
Before your session
Family sessions are typically scheduled in the late afternoon or early evening to take advantage of beautiful natural light. Your exact start time will be confirmed via email closer to your session date.
Before your session, we’ll work together to choose the best outdoor location. This may be a favourite local spot, somewhere meaningful to your family, or a location I recommend based on light, scenery and accessibility.
When it comes to outfits, coordinated colours and simple textures photograph beautifully. You don’t need to match perfectly. Neutral tones and soft colours work best, and I’m always happy to offer styling advice if needed.
During your session
Family sessions are relaxed, natural and connection-focused. I’ll gently guide you with prompts and movement, while also allowing space for genuine interactions to unfold naturally.
There’s no expectation for children to sit still or behave perfectly. Some of the most beautiful images come from laughter, movement and real moments. If children need breaks or time to warm up, we simply work with their pace.
Sessions are unhurried and typically last up to one hour, allowing plenty of time for a variety of images without feeling rushed.
After your session
Within approximately one week, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery to view your images. From here, you’ll select your favourites based on your chosen collection.
You’ll also have the option to upgrade your collection or add additional images once you’ve viewed your gallery.
Your selected images are professionally hand-edited and delivered via digital download. Your gallery will also include access to professional print products should you wish to order prints or wall art.
