The first birthday is such a fun milestone to celebrate, and cake smash sessions are all about capturing your baby’s personality just as they are right now.
My cake smash sessions are relaxed, baby-led and unhurried. There’s no pressure for perfect smiles, just space for curiosity, messy hands and genuine reactions.
Sessions are photographed in the comfort of your own home. I travel to you and bring everything needed to create a studio-styled cake smash setup, transforming a small area of your home into a clean, simple and beautifully styled space.
All I need is a little room to set up my equipment, and I’ll take care of the rest so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

In-home cake smash sessions
Cake smash sessions are all about celebrating your baby’s first birthday in a fun, relaxed and meaningful way. These sessions are designed to capture personality, curiosity and all those little expressions that make this age so special.
Cake smash sessions are photographed in the comfort of your own home. I travel to you and bring everything needed to create a studio-styled cake smash setup, transforming a small area of your home into a clean, simple and beautifully styled space for your little one.
All I need is a small amount of space to set up my equipment and backdrop. I’ll take care of the rest, so you can relax and enjoy watching your baby explore, play and make a little (or a lot) of mess.
Styling your session
I take care of all styling for your cake smash session, creating a clean, simple and timeless setup that keeps the focus on your baby and their personality. The cake is included, and outfits are provided by me unless you’d like to include something special.
You don’t need to prepare outfits or props unless there’s a particular item you’d love to include. I’ll guide you through the entire process and take care of the styling on the day, making the experience relaxed, fun and effortless.
Planning for your cake smash session
Scheduling
Cake smash sessions are best booked for when your baby is sitting confidently, usually around their first birthday.
I recommend booking a few months in advance to secure availability, especially if you’re planning around a birthday date.
Sessions are held on weekdays and are kept relaxed and unhurried, allowing plenty of time for play, exploration and little breaks if needed.
Payment
A $150 deposit is required to secure your cake smash session. This deposit comes off your chosen digital collection.
Payment for your chosen digital collection is due at the time of your session.
Once you’ve viewed your gallery, you’ll have the option to upgrade your collection if you’d like additional images. Any upgrades are purchased after gallery viewing and before final image delivery.
Flexible payment options are available. We also offer AFTERPAY!
What to prepare
Because I bring everything needed for your cake smash session, there’s very little for you to organise.
All I need is:
A small clear space in front of a white wall (please advise if you don’t have a white wall available and ill bring a backdrop)
A comfortably warm room
Access to power for my equipment

Preparing for your newborn session
Before your session
Before I arrive, there’s nothing special you need to do to prepare your home.
I’ll set everything up once I arrive and guide you through the session.
If you’d like to bring a favourite toy, comfort item or special outfit, you’re very welcome to.
During your session
Once set up, we’ll ease into the session at your baby’s pace.
Cake smash sessions are playful, baby-led and relaxed, allowing time for curiosity, mess and plenty of giggles.
You don’t need to direct or entertain your baby. I’ll gently guide the session while keeping things fun and stress-free.
After your session
Within approximately one week, you’ll receive access to a private online gallery to view your images.
At this stage, you’ll select your images based on your chosen collection, with the option to upgrade or add additional images if you wish.
Your selected images will then be professionally hand-edited and delivered via digital download. Your gallery will also include access to professional print products should you wish to order prints or wall art.
